Job Title:	Special Machine Builder
Reports to:	Products and Processes, Engineering
Type of position:	Full-time (40 hours/week); Nonexempt

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Wide range of responsibilities from machine assembly, fabrication and welding, and preventive maintenance to equipment rebuilds and assembly line modifications. This position may require production runs for first article.

Examples of Duties:

Build test equipment
Fabricate custom components as needed
Perform regular maintenance of tools, equipment and machinery
Rebuild equipment and machinery
Make adjustments and modifications to equipment and machinery
Analyze assembly prints and specifications
Plan machinery building operations

WORK EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Experience and ability to perform machinery assembly and build
Basic math and print reading skills
Experience and ability to use hand tools, drill presses, milling machines and lathes
Fabrication and welding experience
Hands on equipment modification and repair experience
Knowledge of electronic controls and PLC controllers
Ability to use basic computer tools
Minimum of 5 years working in an industrial environment
Willing to work flexible hours if required to meet specific deadlines
